Let’s talk ground rules.
“Safe, Sane, Consensual” conduct is the responsibility of ALL members
We reduce risk and prevent harm—physically, emotionally, and socially. We follow the TCPP Code of Conduct and our event safety standards, use good judgment, respect limits, and stop if something feels unsafe. If something feels off, report it using TCPP’s Complaint Reporting process.
What does it mean to be “safe”?
Everyone involved agrees freely, clearly, and specifically—and can change their mind at any time. No pressure, no assumptions based on roles or gear, and “no/stop” or any other safeword is honored immediately without retaliation. Consent also applies to non-physical boundaries like photos, privacy, language, and touching gear.
What does it mean to be “Consensual”?
We act with clear judgment and realistic boundaries. People participate only when they can think clearly, communicate, and make informed choices. We keep activities appropriate for the setting and skill level, and we pause/reset if judgment or boundaries start slipping.
What does it mean to be “sane”?
Membership is an agreement: members pledge to follow the TCPP Code of Conduct and related standards. If there’s a concern, use the Complaint Reporting process or contact a board member. TCPP will address it through established procedures, and outcomes may include coaching, boundaries, removal from events, suspension, or other action, with an appeals path when applicable.
What if someone breaks the rules?
NOTE: For violations of “safe, sane, and consensual” conduct, the TCPP board reserves the right for immediate removal of person(s) and/or perma-banning from TCPP and any future TCPP events.
In this case, TCPP guarantees privacy regarding all matters of reporting unless the report or member(s) conduct requires the involvement of state or federal law enforcement.
For all other general conduct issues, TCPP follows a general “3 strike policy” including an appeals process if you feel our choice was made incorrectly.
